I had a couple of months before the new kit (wings, fuselage) were to arrive. I ended up jamming it with a lot of aviation related activities!

These activities included:
- Traveling to Washington state to get my Light Sport Repairman – Inspection (LSRI-A) certificate. This is a 16-hour course that gives me the authorization to perform my annual condition airplanes on my own RV-12iS. It will also allow me to inspect any experimental amateur built (E-AB) airplane that I may own, even if I did not build myself.
- Getting a tour of the Van’s Aircraft factory and going on my overdue demo flight in an RV-12iS π
- Finding a flight school in the Bay Area (Trexair out of Concord, CA) that has a couple or RV-12iS aircraft in its fleet. I took the opportunity to:
- Get transition training in the RV-12iS
- Get my (biennial) flight review signoff, it has been a few years!
- Moving hangars from Livermore to Hayward so I will be close to my build.
That was a lot for a couple of months. It also included starting a new job search!
